About L.D. Parker
The short version
I’m L.D. Parker—spoken word poet and author writing at the intersection of romance, relationships, and real life.

My work lives in the space between the love we want and the love we settle for, between heartbreak and healing, between who we were and who we’re becoming. If you’ve ever loved deeply, stayed too long, left too late, or rebuilt yourself after the goodbye—welcome. You’re in the right place.

The longer story
I’m a Washingtonian with a storyteller’s ear and a poet’s heart. I grew up in a big, beautifully complicated family, surrounded by strong voices and strong opinions—and I learned early that people are rarely just one thing. Most of us are carrying a whole history behind the smile.

That truth is what pulled me into writing.
I write for the ones who feel everything—who want romance but also require honesty, who crave connection but refuse to abandon themselves to get it. Sometimes my work is tender. Sometimes it’s blunt. Often it’s both, because that’s what real love and real life demand.

These days, I share my work primarily through audio-first spoken word—no performance, no theatrics, just language doing what it’s meant to do: tell the truth, hold the moment, and make you feel seen.
